100,000 hits...
Thank you for your support of A Sermon a Day.com. We have just surpassed 100,000 hits for the life of the blog and over 50,000 have visited here. As you have probably noticed, we have not been posting for awhile. It has been a busy transition into life as a missionary in Zambia and the internet has not been consistent, especially in the early day of our arrival. We are planning a revamp for this blog and adding a new team of pastors to review sermons to help you find a sermon you are looking for. So, stay tuned. The best is yet to come.

Jayson Turner - Five Stories for the City
From beach with turners |
My good friend Jayson Turner is planting a church in downtown Bellevue in Washington, appropiately named, Downtown Church. It is a very unique cross-section of life that is a very wealthy, lonely and hurting place. He has taken a very unique and fresh approach to setting a vision for this church plant by taking five stories from Jesus and creating a vision from there. You will want to listen to all five below... Very insightful, challenging and inviting...
10/26/2008 | The Vine | John 15:1-11 |
11/2/2008 | The Good Samaritan | Luke 10:25-37 |
11/9/2008 | The Rich Fool | Luke 12:13-21 |
11/16/2008 | The Talents | Matthew 25:14-30 |
11/23/2008 | The Pearl | Matthew 13:45-46 |
11/30/2008 | A Vision for the Downtown Church | Matthew 13:45-46 |

The Church - What, Why, How and When?
This week we are looking at the church. I have two good friends who are beginning their pastorates at two different churches. Both of them started with a series on the church. And then, my church had a couple of good talks regarding the church. Frances Chan and Josh Harris will round out the other two.
Starting off today will be Frances Chan and his talk on the church. Francis Chan and the church. I have been so encouraged by the journey that Cornerstone has been on as of late, committing 50% of all their income to the poor, monthly focusing on a ministry for giving, and building an outdoor amphitheatre so they can save money and yet still share the gospel at church. I really appreciate his ministry and I know you will as well...
You will find the first of six talks here...
